Finally My Very Own BFP Success Story!

Dear Ladies, I spent countless hours reading everyone's stories and wanted to contribute my success story to hopefully give you hope.

I am almost 30 years old and my husband and I have been trying since April 2013 And we just got the wonderful news on December 2nd. Let me walk you through my journey. First of all although I have not been officially diagnosed with pcos I am convinced that I have it because I am hairy all over. I am 5.8 And 140 lbs, but I have always worried about conceiving. When we decided we wanted to start trying, I approached everything with efficiency. I got the ovulation predictor kits, basal thermometer, pregnancy tests, got off the pill (which I have been on since I was 16), and started taking prenatal vitamins. In april my period came normally and then in may all of a sudden it didn't come. I thought wow could it be? But no, all pregnancy tests were negative. I had weird brown spotting that every month had me questioning if it is implantation bleeding or what, but no still nothing. Over a few months I still didn't get a normal period. My cycle was all over the place and didn't resemble anything I knew. At the end of September the doc prescribed me provera to jump start my period and it worked even before I finished taking the pills. After that he put me on 50mg of clomid and I decided to use preseed. But it didn't work the first cycle. Then he had me come in and do an hsg test, which I am not going to lie - it hurt. It wasn't unbearable, but I could live without doing that again. He put me on second cycle of clomid and we started trying again. We had sex on the day my ovulation test was positive and two days in a row after that. Than we had sex again two days later. We went on a ten day vacation hoping to relax and make this month count. While there we got some tragic news that our friend passed away and honestly we were so devastated that I couldn't focus on intimacy and all I did was cry for the remainder of the vacation. I was sure we were out this month. The only thing that I noticed was that towards the end of the vacation I was peeing very frequently. I truly thought maybe its because I am swimming so much... we got back home and I decided to take a pregnancy test again and was shocked when a faint second line appeared. This was the 15th day after my ovulation test was positive. The line has since got darker and darker as the hsg levels are increasing. I am currently 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I am very happy but it truly still has not sunk in. Now I am having sore breasts, I get dizzy when I stand up, and feel slight cramping. But my doc says everything is normal. I am going in on dec 30th for our first visit. So don't give up hope, keep trying and eventually all things will line up and you will have your bfp!

I'm in Shock!! Praise God!

Wow, I literally just got my BFP! I was one of the people who sat here month after month (for almost a year), watching these BFP stories and honestly feeling like I would never be here myself. I'm completely in shock...and feel so incredibly blessed! I was so close to giving up, and had planned to go get tested if it didn't work out this cycle.

Symptoms by dpo:
1dpo-5dpo: I had off and on twinges, mostly on the left side. I also developed sore bbs almost immediately after O. I noted both of these things because I have been charting/etc for a year and have never had any symptoms like this so close after O.
6dpo: 2 zits pop up on my chin...but I never break out at this point in my cycle.
7dpo: Bbs are getting more sore and the twinges are still consistent, but getting stronger.
8dpo: Same
9dpo: I literally wrote "bbs insanely sore" in my notes and they are a full size bigger.
10dpo: AF cramps start, but they seem to be early? Normally no cramping until 12-13dpo.
11dpo: More cramping, getting stronger. Feels like an early AF.
12dpo: Had a dream last night, involving getting a BFP. Never dreamed about TTC at all before, and laughed when people mentioned BFP dreams on here. I won't laugh anymore! Had stronger AF cramps again today. Low back pain in the evening (unusual). For the past few days I have been waking up early (around 6) and not able to fall asleep. Made me mad because I'm NOT a morning person. :)
13dpo: Woke up at 5am, could not go back to sleep. I wanted to test, but peed my FMU out just so I wouldn't have that excuse anymore. Started feeling dizzy, so I decided to just prove that it was in my head and test with an old CB easy digital I had lying around. I hadn't even got off the toilet when it said PREGNANT. I started crying, yelling OH MY GOSH and THANK YOU GOD over and over for at least 5 minutes. Ran out and bought a FRER for confirmation, and immediate 2 strong lines! Now, just waiting for DH to come home and open the "early Christmas present" I have sitting on the counter, with my positive tests inside. Still praying that it sticks!

Things I did differently this month:
Started prenatals (should have done that a while ago)
Forced myself to eat grapefruit and drink orange juice every single day starting around CD 8 (for extra folic acid)
Drank more water (really noticed an improvement in CM this month)
And the big one...PRESEED. I really think this was a big part of what helped. I almost didn't buy it because I was already getting a new box of digital opks, and it all seemed so expensive! Best $60 I've ever spent!
I also pleaded with God nightly, asking him to please please please bless us with a baby.

Sorry for the length, but I wanted to write out everything that I would have wanted to read during the 2WW. Hope it helps someone else out there. And I honestly do believe the statement "don't count yourself out until AF shows", because my cramps felt EXACTLY like AF before my BFP.

:) Baby dust to you all!

Happiness After BFP

Hi,

After reading everyone else BFP story's on here I wanted to share mine and hope it will help inspire you to keep up the faith until you get your special BFP :)

I have long irregular cycles which are usually 32+ days long, I usually ovulate between CD20-26 and I have had an extremely short luteal phase for YEARS (anywhere from 6-12 days) with 4-5 days of spotting before my period starts! I was so concerned I wouldn't be able to conceive but when I felt like giving up the most I finally got my BFP. Last cycle, the one before my BFP I felt so pregnant, I had lots of symptoms and was convinced we would get a positive... but nothing.

This cycle I had hardly any symptoms:

CD19 +OPK & DTD
CD20 +OPK & DTD
CD21/1DPO - Thermal rise confirmed ovulation
1DPO-5 DPO - No notable symptoms at all
6DPO - Started spotting brown during the day, felt defeated that another cycle had passed without success.
7DPO - Spotting heavier, some red blood in toilet and on wiping, continued heavy brown spotting. Had major issue with eye where I was getting stars in one eye and could barely see out of it. Had headache all day long. Got pain in my right arm and stressed I was having a stroke LOL! Sciatica in left butt cheek. Felt bummed about spotting and was convinced we were out this cycle. Strangely grateful that I didn't have to wait the whole two weeks to find out were out.
8DPO - Spotting brown all day. Sciatica again. Caved in and tested with internet cheapies, BFN of course.
9DPO - Spotting eased up and I thought that was odd. Still very very light brown discoloration when wiping. Tried to call docs to make appointment to get started finding out about possible infertility because we felt like we needed answers! Clinic was busy and I forgot to call back. Tested in the afternoon, thought I could see an extremely (and I emphasize this 'extremely') faint line. Asked DP and he couldn't see anything but felt sad for me trying to find a positive when it wasn't. Made my visiting Mum climb into the bathtub for better light and asked her if she saw a line, she couldn't see anything either. Wrote it off that I was imagining it.
10DPO - Tested with FMU again on internet cheapies and I swore I could see a very faint line again but this time the tiniest bit darker (I didn't have to climb into the bathtub and manipulate it in the light to see it). Asked DP and this time he conceded that he could see something but wasn't fully convinced at all. Went to the pharmacy and purchased Clearblue Digital test. DP convinced me to wait till the next morning to test with the new tests.. but I caved in that afternoon and tested... could hardly believe it when it came up 'Pregnant 1-2 weeks'!! Spotting stopped today. Told DP and Mum and said "I knew I could see something yesterday!"
11DPO - 14DPO - Still no real symptoms at all. Preg confirmed by blood test.
15DPO - Starting to get a bit dizzy if I get too hungry between meals. Breasts have become sensitive overnight.
16DPO - (today) same as yesterday.

Things we tried differently this cycle:

We were getting desperate and we tried everything this cycle so I don't know what worked but this is what we did.

- Took Evening Primrose Oil capsules 3 per day from the beginning of the cycle till we got our BFP.
- Took Macca powder (DP and myself) which is supposed to increase fertility. Had been taking this for two cycles tho.
- Started using Robitussin with the Guaifenesin only. 3x 200mg per day for a week before ovulation and until 3DPO.
- Used Preseed every BD leading up to and around ovulation. I didn't have any EWCM only wet CM.
- Used Softcups (had to order from the States as we live in Australia) for 5 days around ovulation. Loved these as they meant I could get up and pee after BD without laying horizontal for ages lol.
- Tried to relax more. Stopped charting everything after ovulation was confirmed except BBT. Tried not to look on this site as it only made it harder for me if I convinced myself I was preg the prev month.

Hope for a happy, healthy bub in 9 months and wishing you all a BFP soon :)

Vaginismus BFP! :)

Ok ladies... I almost never see Vaginismus success stories so I wanted to share mine (and hopefully encourage some of you!)

Vaginismus is such a horrible, HORRIBLE thing to deal with. Mine is quite extreme, to the point where full penetration is just not possible. I went through times where I doubted if I would ever have children, so my BFP was the greatest blessing I could be given! And in case anyone is wondering - I have considered purchasing a kit or doing therapy for it, however both are quite expensive options that we just aren't able to consider right now. My DH is incredibly understanding and supportive, so I am very blessed.

I figured my dpo symptoms are probably less important to those of you with vaginismus than the actual details of how we got our BFP. And let me tell you...this month we did not even BD once! We decided to try home insemination earlier in the year, but I was totally skeptical! At first I believed it was possible, but after months of BFN's I was about to throw in the towel and go talk to a Dr. about some other options.

This month, we inseminated 3 times (4 days before O, 2 days before, and 1 day before). I temped and used digital opks (the internet cheapos never worked right for me!). We used my DH's sperm, since we assumed there was nothing wrong on his end. We used 1 cc syringes (yes, tiny! This gives you an idea of how bad my vaginismus is!) He filled as many as he was able, brought them to me and I immediately inserted as much as I could (and as deep as I could). We did not warm his semen or hold the syringes against my body (which you may read about online). This month we used a syringe full of preseed each time as well (about 20 minutes prior), and I really feel like that led to our success. When you are inseminating, you don't have all the natural cm that you would when bd'ing, so I felt like maybe the swimmers just weren't getting to where they needed to go. I also put a pillow under my hips both during and after, and tried to stay put as long as I was able to.

Generally if you are reading tutorials on home insemination, you may see a lot of people using the softcups method. I knew this wasn't an option for me (how would I get it in?). Also, even the syringe was painful at times, but I fought through it and anytime it was too much, I just let myself be ok with stopping. Not to say that some tears weren't shed when I was unsuccessful.

Anyway, all that to say - We got our BFP this month! I am overjoyed, and I hope this helps anyone out there who is struggling with this same condition. Inseminating may seem strange or awkward at first, but you really get used to it and it helps relieve a lot of the stress for both you and your DH. Our relationship got a lot stronger when we switched to this method, and I think we both finally felt like there was hope.

Hang in there, and just trust that God knows the desires of your heart and has perfect timing!

Hi everyone!!! I absolutely can't believe that I JUST got a BFP!!! Hubby is 27 and I am 25. This is our first baby and second month TTC.

I don't have a day by day list of my symptoms because I honestly didn't keep track of them. I was so heartbroken last month (because I was absolutely positive that we had conceived and then AF reared her ugly head) that I decided to just (sorry for the annoying cliche) "relax and let it happen". But here are some symptoms that I noticed.

By around 3-4 dpo, I started feeling some mild cramping and low back pain. I had this last month too when I was sure I was pregnant and I wasn't and I later attributed it to just coming off BC. I thought the same thing was happening this month and by that point, I had decided that I wasn't pregnant.

Throughout the TWW, I was fatigued (sleeping 12 hours a night), very slightly nauseated, slightly sore boobs, bloated, and had a LOT of acid reflux, which I attributed to Christmas cookies. :)

About 10 dpo or so, I started having more intense cramping that I figured was AF getting ready to start. I waited until today, 14 dpo, and figured she would show first thing in the morning, as usual, and she didn't. I waited for the whole day, all the while feeling like I was about to start at any minute. I decided that if I hadn't started by the time I got home from work, I would take a test. I did and it was a BFP!!!

I'm still in shock!! I wish you ladies LOTS AND LOTS of baby dust!! :)

BFP 11 dpo

I've used this site so much while TTC #2 and am excited to share mine finally! We have been trying for 6 months but started using OPKs 3 months ago. This was our third cycle using them.

Cd 12-13 ewcm + opk on cd 13
We BD on cd 13 (me on top so I didn't think it would work).
Cd 14 creamy cm, BD using preseed, suspected o day
1 dpo dry cm
2-6 dpo nothing. My bbs normally hurt after o and they didn't this month but I didn't think anything of it.
It's probably worth noting that I got a flu like sickness 4-5 dpo and then it suddenly went away.
6 dpo felt pinching in right abdomen, blood when I blow my nose (I chalked it up to dry air and the weird sickness I had). Large glob of yellow creamy cm
7-9 dpo nothing out of the ordinary other than bloody snot
10 dpo nosebleed in morning. I haven't had one since I was twelve so I got suspicious. My teeth start throbbing and still haven't stopped. Extra blood flow? Went to bed with a super dry mouth.
11 dpo BFP on wondfo and cbe digital with fmu! I was surprised since all of my symptoms seemed more illness related.

Good luck ladies!!

WOW!! I have stalked this page for many years. Hi I'm Cindy! and I been trying to conceive a baby with my husband over 9 years now! I Been using opk for over a 1 yr and half now. I worked full time and was a full time student but because I think stress had a lot to do with that too. The only thing I did different this cycle was I gave up on trying. I said if I'm 30 and still don't have kids then I'll adopt. I still used preseed everything I had sex. I didn't care to hold my legs up after sex like I had normally done before. I just relax and really enjoy the sex. I did remember drinking a lot of water. The funny thing was that god bless me with the best 27th birthday present which was to found out that I'm preg!!! :) I am currently 12 weeks preg/ and I'm on cloud nine and never coming down!!! I just want to say...IT'S ALL in God's timing for your life. Everything will fall in to place according to God's timing... SO GIRL don't lose hope. I know it's soo hard on you to try so hard at trying to get preg. I know I struggle with the pain and what if??? for many years... This page gave me hope!! I hope my story will bring you hope to not give up ..... if you want something bad enogh then don't give up on trying to have a baby!! You will have one this year too!!! BABY DUST!!!! OXOXOXOXOXO MRsbullington

Where to begin...I am 36 and DH is also 36 we have three boys ranging from 9-14 so if you can imagine we were pretty much done for the most part but I have ALWAYS felt that there was another one just waiting to be born. We are both moderately active and don't really have any health problems. I come from a family for 4 children and my husband comes from a family of 6 and neither of us were preventing but we weren't "trying" either so there is just so much excitement right now but I'm not going to lie, I am pretty nervous also. I have heard that google isn't your friend when you are first pregnant because each and every pregnancy is different and of course that is where I went first and began reading things like I am advanced maternal age and high risk...I just because obsessed with all the stories on TWW until I decided to just let go and leave it in GODs hands! So lets get to the symptoms.
LMP: 21 Nov
Ovulation: I am very in touch with my body and knew according to O pain and EWCM that I ovulated on the night of 4 Dec.
Now I chart and keep track of my periods each month both with an app on my phone and by BBT. This month I was particular about it because DH and I were out of town and didn't use anything even though I knew ovulation was coming....but didn't think too much of it because in the past 9 years since my son was born we have had many times where we thought It was too close to ovulation and I didn't get pregnant so I really thought my body was done with all that. I will admit that I have come to this site several times comparing symptoms etc!

O Day: Normal mild cramping feeling
1 DPO: Nothing
2 DPO: Nothing
3 DPO: NOTHING!....by this time I was really trying to symptom spot and there was NOTHING...so sore boobs, NOTHING!
4 DPO: I woke up with a head cold, stuffy nose/runny nose other than that still nothing
5 DPO: head cold, stuffy nose/runny nose, sneezing
6 DPO: head cold, stuffy nose/runny nose and sneezing what I noticed was different about this was I always develop a cough due to drainage at night and that never happened...it was just an annoying head cold....I also developed a headache this day very mild, more so just nagging and annoying
7 DPO: Still have this annoying cold, no cough and another mild headache.
8 DPO: I remember I had menstrual cramps on and off throughout the day and to myself "ok AF is right on time" The cramps were a little early but didn't think twice about it. Head cold was completely gone...no tapering off or anything...just gone!
9 DPO: No cramping at all and I made a mental note that once my cramps for AF begin the don't go away, they are usually pretty consistent until I start.
10 DPO: When I went to bed on this night I was laying on my back watching TV and notice a weird pushing feeling on my left side literally right above my pubic bone and I knew this wasn't anywhere near my ovaries...first thought....hmmm maybe.
11 DPO: Nothing...Nothing at all but that also means I am not having any cramps or anything. So I said to myself Ok, I have no sore boobs by now, no frequent urination, no vivid dreams no increase in CM and most of all I chart my BBT and I never...NEVER got a spike in BBT after ovulation so I just knew I was over thinking it and LOOKING for symptoms that just weren't there.
12 DPO: Um.....Nothing!
13 DPO: I woke at 3am and had to go to the bathroom...I turned the shower light on so it was really dim in there and I thought what the heck, let me just do it cause I am due to start my cycle anyway and nothing will make you start faster than a negative pregnancy test! I peed and tried to focus on the line and could have sworn I saw something so I went and turned the main bathroom light on to get a better look and sure enough.........BFP!!!!!!! What!!!!!!!!! I am just so happy, thrilled, nervous and excited all in the same! DH is so happy!....................BUT then the nerves set in.........:(
14 DPO: Woke up this morning and tested again....darker line
15 DPO: Tested yet again to be sure and line was darker than both days....had blood drawn today and Hcg is at 225 which is perfect! and within range!
I hope and pray that each and everyone of you will be blessed with pregnancy and a happy and healthy 9 months!

12 dpo and BFP!!!!! What an Early Christmas Gift!!

I am 26 years old and have been trying to conceive for the last 5 months. I have a history of hypothyroidism and a short luteal phase. I have been stalking this site for the last 5 months hoping that one day I will be able to write my BFP story and here I am!! Here are my symptoms:
0- Slight cramping on left side (must of been ovary I ovulated from), Watery CM(not quite EW)
1- Stuffy nose (but attributed it to allergies)
2- Stuffy nose still but nothing to serious
3- Increase in creamy CM
4- Still have lots of creamy CM, very sore nipples (never had these before), and slightly bloated
5- Dry CM, still having sore nipples and bloating, and lots of energy
6- Sticky CM, very irritable, crying a lot, tired, and still having very sore nipples and bloating
7- Dry CM, very, very irritable (yelled at DH for no reason), still having breasts and ovary pinches again
8- Watery CM, cranky (but less than the last couple of days). Also got really tired this day. Slept almost all day.
9- Yellow, sticky Cm (never had this before and thought it was weird), still having breast pain, and a little fatigue
10- White sticky CM, breast pain radiating to nipples
11- Dry CM, cramps (felt dull), tug under belly button (didn't understand this until it actually happened), breast pain is getting better
12- Very watery CM, cramps on/off, bubble feeling in pelvis area, breasts starting to feel better, woke up in middle of night really thirsty. In the am, I thought AF was surely on her way but took a pregnancy test anyways and BFP+. So shocked and couldn't believe it so took another one 5 hours later and it was still positive!! :)

So, hopefully these symptoms help others in the dreaded TWW. I was definitely shocked because I really didn't have any symptoms that stood out to me saying "YOU ARE PREGNANT." All of these symptoms besides the bubbles in pelvis, yellow CM, and tugs in belly were with me every month I was TTC. And even with these couple extra symptoms I still didn't think I was pregnant. Now I get to go surprise my husband with the news!!

Best Anniversary Present Ever!

Ok so I promised myself I would post by BFP story after the first sono! Everything looked great yesterday during the sono and it was an amazing moment to see our little one move!

A little about me I’m 24. DH is 25. I have been on the pill for about 9 years and went off the pill in April so we could ttc in August. Because I was on the pill for so long I started Fertilecm supplements to help with my lack of cm in August. August came and went I tried everything and BOOM NOTHING. It was very discouraging and to make matters worse DH never was in the mood during my fertile window! You can’t make a baby if you don’t try during your fertile window. The next month came and went along with the same thing. The month we go pregnant was the month I asked him if we could actually try he said yes so I went out and bought the clear blue digital advanced OPKs. My cycles have been 33 days so we did awesome we bd cycle day 14,15 17,18 and 20. Only problem was I did not O on cycle day 20 like I was supposed to. By then the hubby was over trying and we didn’t bd anymore after that. Well on Cycle day 23 I Oed. I was so mad I was sure we were out once again because of timing. I even blogged on here about being bitter. As soon as I ran out of Fertilecm supplements I didn't reorder. I was done. I was so hurt and upset I did not want to even think about trying anymore. This is a weird tmi but at 6DPO I noticed my nipples were constantly hard my sports bra felt like sandpaper when I went on my morning run. (I have inverted nipples so they hardly ever are just "hard"). At 9 dpo I used a plain OPK just to see I just had a feeling. It showed negative which I figured so I left it at that. Our Anniversary is November 13 which is 11 DPO. My nipples were still hard! I just had a feeling to test. So I left work at lunch took another OPK because I was not about to buy a pregnancy test and it be negative and within seconds it was positive! I was so confused. I kept thinking why the heck it would be positive I know I ovulated. Well I went and bought a Clearblue digital test and a cheap 88 cent test. I went back home and took both. By then my pee was so watered down the digital was negative and the 88 cent test was negative. I was so mad and confused I went back to work trying to wrap my head around why there would be a positive OPK and negative pregnancy test. After work I went home and checked the cheap test again...I just had a feeling to look. And I could just barely see a second line. It was so faint it was easy to miss. I have taken those tests enough times that I have never had an evap with them so I knew it wasn't an evap. After an amazing anniversary dinner I had the DH take me to the store so I could buy as FRER. While buying it I had this sinking gut feeling of reality that I was wasting money and was only going to be a negative once again. As soon as I got home I peed in a cup and took the test. I was too scared to look so after a minute I looked down at the test and THERE WAS TWO PINK LINES!!!! I started screaming I was sooooo happy! I ran to my husband and started jumping up and down! I couldn’t believe it! I took another one and sure enough another BFP! The next day I took the other clear blue digital along with the last FRER and both showed positive! I could not have asked for a better anniversary present! We are waiting Christmas day to tell our families. The only thing we did differently was bd more and I started Robitussin on cycle day 18. I think it was the Robitussin that worked. But other than the hard nipples I had zero and I mean ZERO symptoms! I can’t wait for Christmas. Baby Dust.

Howdy ya'll! This is the second BFP story I have posted....two days after my first BFP sTory posted I had a miscarriage. Which of course isn't the fault of this lovely forum...these BFP stories have kept me sane over this past year!

I am happy to report that I am pregnant again and on the safer side I waited until I am more comfortable in this pregnancy to post. I am today 12 weeks and couldn't be happier!

My story goes:
I had gotten all my tests back and every thing was clear for my first cycle on clomid. All I had to do was call on CD 1 to make an appt for my scan that had to be done on CD 4...to get/start clomid in CD 5. Soooo my body in it's awesomeness started my period on Friday afternoon after the Clinic had closed...I was soooo upset that I couldn't even call the Clinic until CD 4 (and my husband would be TDY for the next cycle...so I would have to wait 2 more cycles!) . We'll my worry was for nothing! I had the scan and started clomid on CD 5. My only side effect was a lot of moodiness.

On 13 October I recived my first positive OpK (EVER!). During the two weeks wait I wasn't sure what symptoms were pregnancy and which were clomid...I was completely expecting it not to work...and all the strangeness I blamed it on the clomid. Some symptoms I had were headaches, mild tummy upset, and a bit of (TMI) discharge. What was really weird is I get really sore boobs after ovulation and I didn't get that at all...I just noticed my nips were really sore which I never had before. I was just going to wait it out and let my period show normally (12 DPO) on 11 DPO I cracked and tested. My husband was @ work and I was alone. I saw a super faint line and I was completely taken aback...I had to be me imagining it...I texted to my BF and she saw it! Surprised my hubs with a little onesie and hat! He was happy but his reaction was "yep...I knew I'd be knocking you up soon" lol!

Well I guess that is a bit long so I'll end with: to all ya'll TTC ladies: I've been there...it SUCKS! I hope ya'll get ya'lls BFPs soon! Baby Dust!

This is our third month ttc. I'm only 13 dpo today, but I got my BFP on a FRER and a digital test! So thrilled, and super surprised to get a pos so early on a digital. Here's what we did differently this month:

We only bd'ed twice, the day before and the day of o. I never got a pos on my opk, so those of you with the same issue, don't worry. We used preseed both times. I took evening primrose oil every day until o day, and I drank cough syrup from CD7 until the day after o. I don't really have any symptoms, except I'm super tired and grouchy, and my bb's are really sore. I had a few brown spots of implantation bleeding on 12 dpo.

I still can't believe it! Baby dust to you all, and Merry Christmas!

BFP 6 Weeks After Miscarriage

My husband and I found out we were pregnant in September 2013. We used 50mg of clomid and got pregnant on the 3rd round. Although we were trying, we were still in shock. When you see a negative pregnancy test month after month, you start to lose hope that you'll ever get pregnant. We learned early on that it was twins and that heightened the excitement. After a year of trying, were not only blessed with one baby but two, unbelievable. However, several weeks later, we miscarried in October 2013. We were beyond devastated. I opted for a D&C procedure and the results revealed chromosome abnormality. My doctors explained to me that I should expect my period once my HCG level reaches 0. Several weeks went by and finally my period comes on November 10. I immediately go to my doctor so that we can get a prescription for clomid. Clomid worked for us before so I definitely want to try it again. After an ultrasound, my doctor discovers a cyst on my right ovary and informs me that I won't be getting a prescription of clomid. Due to the size of the cyst, they do not feel comfortable giving me clomid because the clomid may cause the cyst to increase in size. So l left the appointment disappointed. I was looking forward to trying right away and this will be an unmedicated cycle. I've learned from the past that me and my husband trying on our own just doesn't work. So I tell my husband and we have to accept that we can try the clomid the following month. My period comes and goes and as my next period approaches, I scheduled an appointment with my doctor so we can discuss getting on clomid for the new cycle starting in December. My doctor agrees that I can now get a prescription of clomid. She takes my blood and send me on my way. I get a call back later that day, my blood work show an increase in my HCG level but it's still low. My beta was 10. My period wasn't due for another 3 days. I ask my doctor what does that mean. She says, well anything over 5 means pregnant but 10 is still very low. She tells me not to fill my prescription and come back in two days for a second blood test. I go back to the doctor for bloodwork, now very hopeful. Get a call back and the doctor says, "Congrats Melissa, you're pregnant". My beta was 48 and I did indeed miss my period. It didn't show at all that weekend. It was a shocker and exciting. We got pregnant our first cycle after a miscarriage and this time without clomid, without any medical intervention. It was just me, my husband, and God. In the end, it's how we always wanted it to be. We are very confident in this pregnancy. I'm currently almost 7 weeks and my doctor said so far my first ultrasound pic looks much more promising and better than my ultrasound pics from my last pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. That was very encouraging.

They say you are most fertile directly after a miscarriage. I believe it. I say trying immediately after a miscarriage, you never know what can happen.

BFP on Boxing Day! Lesbian Couple.

My partner and I are in a lesbian relationship and have been trying for a baby for over a year

For the first 4 tries, (9 tries in total over 18 months) we went through a fertility clinic in order to have IUI. This wasn't our preferred option, but in the uk you cannot purchase sperm for home use from an unknown donor.

After a very difficult four tries, we decided we needed to persue another option and so approached a friend.

After 5 tries (some were timed better than others!) we finally got our BFP! And it was on Boxing Day at 16dpo. We would probably have got a positive sooner but were too scared to test around the festive period!

RE symptoms, there weren't as many this month as previous months when I have not been pregnant.

1-11dpo nothing particularly out of the ordinary. I did have a cold which came to nothing and was very tired, but that could have been down to lots of things.

12dpo-15dpo I thought that I was out. Horrendous period cramps which were identical to those that I get before I come on my period. The only odd thing was that they would come on strongly and then totally go. Then they wold come on again half an hour later or so.

My cervix was closed, soft and high.

My biggest clue was the on and off period pain. However, I was absolutely convinced I would come on my period. The cramps are still there at times today (17dpo) but a lot less frequently.

A message to anyone who has been trying to conceive for a while and is symptom spotting- never give up. If we can do it inseminating 2 or 3 times a month and guessing on timings, then anyone can. Magic happens at Christmas.

With regards to symptom spotting, I did it, it didn't help, but I'd do it again! Remember, everyone is different and it is very unlikely that any symptom too much before your period is anything other than PMS, pretty much the same hormones are released until the egg implants. Even then, you may feel nothing.

I wish everyone a whole load of Christmas baby dust... Keep up the hope and it'll happen.

X

Clomid Twins!!!

Hi ya'all

I am a little late to post on here as it was exactly a year ago I got my first ever BFP with 100mg clomid day 2-6 after 23 cycles ttc. I will never forget the morning I got my BFP, the excitment, little did we know at that stage that not one but TWO eggs had taken up home in my womb!! I now have 2 healthy beautiful babies, a boy & a girl, thanks to this wonder drug. It feels a lifetime ago that I was on the ttc journey but reading these posts brings it all back & I felt I had to write to tell you all to keep the faith. There were times I felt I'd never see that BFP but finally I did.
We had lots of tests but was diagnosed with unexplained infertily & prescribed clomid. I didn't have many early symptoms the month I got my BFP, but by 8 weeks the morning sickness hit hard and lasted to week 22!! I remember thinking for sure I was out that month as I had pretty much no symptoms. We used Pre seed & the clear blue fertility monitor and BD for 7 days straight!! I got my BFP on 10dpo and symtoms were so similar to the witch that I was shocked!!
Keep the faith people & good luck to you all x

6 Cycles in 5 Months, Then BFP

I promised myself I would come and post here when I got my BFP this time around. This will be my second child. First child was conceived quickly with no real issues but he was very large and I ended up having a mildly complicated cesarean. I was worried about how it would effect my fertility going forward. Around the time my husband (32) and I (36) started trying for number 2 my cycles became shorter and less predictable. I was having cramps on and off starting at ovulation and ending with AF. On top of that I kept getting sick with colds and sinus issues. I was frustrated. I was really sick during the first part of this last cycle with a cold, then a stomach virus and then a cold again. Apparently this didn't matter. We have been given the best Christmas gift ever, a BFP at 12DPO. Here's what I noticed:

-Mild cramps around ovulation time but then, for the first time in months, no cramping until 10DPO
-At 3DPO I broke out into a strange rash of itchy red bumps. There weren't a lot of them but they showed up everywhere including my scalp, forearms, palms of my hands, eyelids and rear end. It lasted 3 days or so. I know some believe that you can't have symptoms before implantation but I had never seen this rash before and I can't help but wonder if it was hormone related.
-Also around 10DPO I got really cranky and had to pee all the time, which was unusual.
-Yesterday I noticed "seeing stars" numerous times even after eating and drinking plenty.
-This morning was the 3rd morning of cramps but no AF although she wasn't due until tomorrow. I decided to test so that I would know if I could have some champagne tonight. The first test, a cheapie from Amazon came back a quick negative so I figured I'd just wait for AF. For some reason about an hour later I pulled it from the trash to see the faint second line had appeared. I re-tested with a digital EPT and it read "pregnant"!! I cried and called my hubby immediately.

We had a very stressful fall aside from TTC and I am so glad the year is wrapping up with this good news. What I did different this month, whether it helped or not: this was our first cycle using Pre-Seed, I ate pineapple core 4 days after ovulation, and I was taking cough medicine because of my illnesses. I also really worked on just relaxing. Not sure if any of this helped or not but I wanted to mention it. Here's hoping it sticks!

I wanted to wish everyone good luck and baby dust. I was convinced I was out this month but surprises do happen so keep positive!

PCOS Preseed Vitex Pregnancy After MC

This is my second BFP post. My first post was 2 years ago but ended in a missed miscarriage around 12 weeks. I was very shocked as I wasn't expecting to be pregnant since I hadn't had a period for a few months. This time I used vitex, CoQ10, liquid cod liver oil, cinnamon, inositol, and tried to follow a low GI diet. I only took geritol for one day, but couldn't stand the taste. I'm not sure when I ovulated so I will just list my symptoms.

*Very tender sore breasts, large areolas, and breasts grew almost a full cup size (lasting for 3 weeks until I decided to test) Didn't have sore boobs at all with my first pregnancy
*Swollen vagina
*yeast infection
*increased sex drive
*I noticed a little blood when I blew my nose a couple of times
* Vivid dreams, but I get vivid dreams a lot. 2 days ago I had a positive test but than I also dreamt it faded away :(
*moody
*emotionally sensitive but not as sensitive as my first pregnancy
* started feeling sick last 3 days, nauseated off and on, sensitive to smells- before I couldn't smell our Christmas tree all month, now it was really strong and annoying (I didn't start getting sick until 7-8 weeks during my first pregnancy)
*metallic taste in my mouth started today
*cramps off and on throughout last 3 weeks, noticed them a lot 3 weeks ago, but it went away and started up again last night and today
*sleepy but not as sleepy as first pregnancy
*lack of energy or motivation to do anything last few days

First pregnancy I had a lot of dizziness and implantation bleeding, but neither symptom this time. Also, I had a lot more cramps first pregnancy. Praying this pregnancy will stick :) TTC 7 years before first m/c and now 2 years after m/c

Very Surprised to See a BFP!

Like many, I've been lurking on these threads for months now, symptom-spotting like a madwoman and peeing on so many sticks. My husband and I have been trying since last May, so it took us 9 months. This will be our first. I'm thrilled! It still feels unreal.

I found it really frustrating to read advice that said "Just relax, it'll happen." Ugh! Seems like the more people tell me to relax the harder it is to relax. But after charting for months and using OPKs, I decided to give myself a break in December from thinking about TTC. It was exhausting to think about it all the time. It was such an emotional roller coaster to find out every month that all the symptoms I *swore* were different than the month before were all in my head. So December was my giving-myself-a-break month. I let myself spend a weekend wine tasting, had drinks over the holidays, and exercised to my heart's content. I didn't let myself check this site or any other pregnancy-related sites and just focused on enjoying myself during my time off. No OPKs, no charts, no nothing (except Pre-Seed, which we continued to use as needed). I wasn't even sure when I ovulated. I have like a 25-pack of internet cheapies and peed on one just for fun after the New Year. I was so surprised to get a positive!

This cycle I had less symptoms than other months. My boobs are bigger but not tender at all. I had less cramping/ pinching/ tugging feelings than when I wasn't pregnant. Basically, I felt less pregnant than any other months so far! My only symptom has been feeling kind of hot and very emotional at times -- more so than with PMS.

Anyway, thought I'd share my story. I'm pretty sure that giving myself space and not putting so much pressure on myself helped. But who knows.

This site has been a source of support to me over the months and I really appreciate reading everyone's stories. GL and baby dust to all!

Clomid BFP After 16 Months TTC with PCOS

As many have said I can't believe I finally am sharing my BFP story, been reading these stories throughout my 16 months of TTC. I was diagnosed with PCOS by my RE after my GP had told me last year that I wasn't "fat" enough to have PCOS. I've always had irregular periods, changed my diet but it wasn't until after my 1st round of Clomid that I finally ovulated CD21, just happy to ovulate but BFN. NP recommended upping dose to 100mg to ovulate early, however at CD3 ultrasound showed 5cm cyst, took BCP for 3 weeks and cried... but then it was 1cm and I started my 2nd Clomid cycle, went for follicle check and only saw 1 corpus luteum, due to +OPK I believe I ovulated CD15, we also used PreSeed the last 2 cycles. I was a little discouraged only 1 follicle was released, but as I read many times, 1 is all it takes!

1-2 dpo - nothing
3-5 dpo - crazy vivid dreams all night (DH just shook his head), little creamy CM
6 dpo- more wild dreams, EXTREMELY dry skin- I never have that, not sure it was pregnancy related
7 dpo - constipation, more dry skin, still dreaming like crazy, slight cramping (Progesterone - 23.4)
8 dpo - dreams, creamy CM- not much though, went golfing and breasts felt bruised, slight nausea at dinner
9 dpo - BFP on FRER- very faint, I worried it was an evap line even though I came in allotted time (didn't want to tell DH yet)
10 dpo- BFP slightly darker on FRER and obvious on CBE - told DH
11 dpo - BFP darker on FRER, (BFN on $ brand-I was curious) - Finally believe it's true and I called the Dr

1st Beta 42, Dr said good for so early, just needs to double in 3 days... FX

For 16 months I felt like all I did was wait, wait, wait, and sometimes cry. I know it's early but I feel like a huge stress burden has been lifted off of me. I pray you all get to have that feeling/BFP very soon, baby dust to all of you.
