Dear Ladies, I spent countless hours reading everyone's stories and wanted to contribute my success story to hopefully give you hope.
I am almost 30 years old and my husband and I have been trying since April 2013 And we just got the wonderful news on December 2nd. Let me walk you through my journey. First of all although I have not been officially diagnosed with pcos I am convinced that I have it because I am hairy all over. I am 5.8 And 140 lbs, but I have always worried about conceiving. When we decided we wanted to start trying, I approached everything with efficiency. I got the ovulation predictor kits, basal thermometer, pregnancy tests, got off the pill (which I have been on since I was 16), and started taking prenatal vitamins. In april my period came normally and then in may all of a sudden it didn't come. I thought wow could it be? But no, all pregnancy tests were negative. I had weird brown spotting that every month had me questioning if it is implantation bleeding or what, but no still nothing. Over a few months I still didn't get a normal period. My cycle was all over the place and didn't resemble anything I knew. At the end of September the doc prescribed me provera to jump start my period and it worked even before I finished taking the pills. After that he put me on 50mg of clomid and I decided to use preseed. But it didn't work the first cycle. Then he had me come in and do an hsg test, which I am not going to lie - it hurt. It wasn't unbearable, but I could live without doing that again. He put me on second cycle of clomid and we started trying again. We had sex on the day my ovulation test was positive and two days in a row after that. Than we had sex again two days later. We went on a ten day vacation hoping to relax and make this month count. While there we got some tragic news that our friend passed away and honestly we were so devastated that I couldn't focus on intimacy and all I did was cry for the remainder of the vacation. I was sure we were out this month. The only thing that I noticed was that towards the end of the vacation I was peeing very frequently. I truly thought maybe its because I am swimming so much... we got back home and I decided to take a pregnancy test again and was shocked when a faint second line appeared. This was the 15th day after my ovulation test was positive. The line has since got darker and darker as the hsg levels are increasing. I am currently 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I am very happy but it truly still has not sunk in. Now I am having sore breasts, I get dizzy when I stand up, and feel slight cramping. But my doc says everything is normal. I am going in on dec 30th for our first visit. So don't give up hope, keep trying and eventually all things will line up and you will have your bfp!
